Marc passed away quietly and peacefully surrounded by his family on February 8, 2023 at the age of 69.  His body had been weakened by medical issues over the last 10 years and this last illness was more than his tired body could fight off.

Marc was born on September 19, 1953 in San Mateo, California.  He grew up with his two brothers and sister in New Jersey and Michigan and moved with his family to Houston just after graduating high school when his father was transferred with Ethyl Oil Company.  He began working in the glass business which continued for the next 50 years and he was just starting to talk about retirement.

Marc met Carol through his little brother Ricky and they were married nearly 45 years.  His happiest and proudest moments were with Dawn and Cameron who were born in 1984 and 1989.  His heart was broken with the stillbirth of daughter Stephanie Elaine in 1988 and she was always included when talking about his children.

Raising Dawn and Cameron was a happy, busy time filled with all the typical activities especially dance recitals and countless baseball and softball practices, games and tournaments. He was such a proud dad and at quiet times he would often say that life had some sad moments but he was completely happy and so fortunate that his children were such good people and found their perfect partners in life and that they were raising his grandchildren to be sweet and loving little ones.

Marc loved his trips with family especially to Maine, Whidbey Island, Washington, Carol's home state of Wyoming and diving trips to Grand Cayman and Mexico early in their marriage.  He was a NASCAR fan and always loved his blue cars and trucks, his favorite music was from the 60's and 70's and after moving to the Tomball area he enjoyed the small music venue there to hear some music, as recently as the Saturday before he passed.  He enjoyed driving his truck and listening to talk radio, watching the Astros with his family and the seafood in Maine.

Marc was a kind, honest, gentle, loving and responsible man.  He was taking care of his mother's estate when he passed.  He had a quiet faith.  Before his last surgery he told everyone he was going to let "Jesus Take the Wheel."

Marc is survived by his wife, Carol, his daughter Dawn and her husband Justin, his son Cameron and his wife Paola, and his grandchildren Nicolás, Elena Kate and Jackson. He is also survived by his older brother Gary and his wife Marilynn, and his sister Karen and her husband Ed.  Through them and Carol's family he is survived by many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents Harold Burton and Sally Rendall, his younger brother Rick, nephew Adam and daughter Stephanie.

The funeral mass will be held at St. Matthias in Magnolia on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 12:00 pm.
