Manuel Estel Dobbs, loving husband of 28 years to his wife, Michelle, passed away on September 28, 2020 at age 75.  Manuel was born to Clark E. Dobbs and Bertie Mae (Webb) Dobbs Loveall on August 2, 1945 in San Diego, California.

Manuel is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Love Dobbs, of Cypress, Texas; his mother-in-law Alice Love, of Richards; brother-in-law Ivan "Ace" Love and son Cody Love, of Spring; his sister Sue and her husband Brad of Humble, his sister Brenda Watson of Humble, Texas; daughter Julie Brusselback, of Pasadena; daughter Tracy and her husband Wayne Faucette, of Friendswood; daughter Mindy and her husband Jim Clark of Alvin; and grandchildren Emily and her husband, Sean Dickey of Victorville, California, Rachel and her husband, Ken Patrick of Lewisville, Austin Slusher of Pearland, April Slusher of Houston, Ryan Brusselback of Pasadena, and numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.  Manuel was preceded in death by his father, Clark E. Dobbs; his mother, Bertie Loveall; father-in-law, Bobby Love; stepfather, Floyd Loveall; stepmother Hettie Dobbs; sister Marilyn Weir; and brother-in-law Thomas Weir.

He graduated from Jones High School in Houston in 1963.  Manuel got a job making lenses for glasses at TSO upon graduating. His career in the electrical field began with his apprenticeship at Hughes Tool Company. He then went to Anheuser Busch Brewery as an electrician before starting his long career working for the City of Houston, Public Works Department.  When he retired, he was the Master Electrician for the City of Houston Water Department.

Manuel and Charlotte Perry (Dobbs), met while attending Jones High School in Houston.  They raised three daughters, Julie (Dobbs) Brusselback, Tracy (Dobbs) Faucette and Mindy (Dobbs) Clark.

Manuel met his wife Michelle Love Dobbs while working for the City of Houston.  She and her father Bobby Love both worked for the City of Houston with Manuel.  He and Michelle made their first home in Manvel, Texas and then moved to Cypress, Texas where they were actively involved with numerous loving friends.

Manuel was a collector of hobbies; he enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a pilot of small aircraft, shrimper, and avid motorcycle rider. He mainly enjoyed spending time with many of his close friends.

Services will be held at Klein Funeral Home Cy-Fair, 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston, Texas  77065.  Please contact the family for the service time.  Due to the limited number of available seats, a livestream broadcast for those who cannot attend in person, will be accessible from the Funeral Homes Website.  We ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
