Malcolm Sherrod Willis, 24, of Houston departed this life July 13, 2022 at home. He was born on February 11, 1998 in Houston, Texas to Michael & Alicia Willis. He was preceded in death by his grandparent, Richard Willis, II.
Malcolm attended High School in Spring Independent School District. He played on the varsity football team at Westfield High and graduated in the top ten percent of his class, maintaining his standings on the National Honor Society throughout high school. After graduation Malcolm was accepted to Texas A & M in College Station, this is where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. While at Texas A & M, Malcolm pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated, Nu Delta Delta Chapter in the Spring of 2019 on the 3 Sons of Chaos Line. Malcolm was the "Deuce" and took on the line name of "2 Icey" (part of which was his father's nickname, "Ice"). Malcolm loved his fraternity and was most proud to be in an organization that embodied the many type of qualities and it carried a creed that he lived by daily.
Malcolm joined the Houston Fire Department November 16, 2020, where he loved serving and working as a firefighter. Malcolm worked tirelessly at many stations throughout the Houston area. He loved his second family (HFD) and his 48D brothers. He served faithfully.
Malcolm believed and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He loved volunteering at Fallbrook Church.
Malcolm leaves to cherish his memories, his loving parents, Michael & Alicia Willis, two sibilings, Michael Willis, II (DeAndrea), Houston, TX; Morgan Willis, Houston, TX; two nephews, Chuvez Wynn-Autry and Ayden Brown, both of Houston, TX; one niece, Zayna Willis, Houston, TX; grandparents, William Thomas, Columbus, GA; Shirley Alfred, Houston, TX; Peter Mosby, Chicago, IL; Ilona Mosby, Houston, TX; four special friend-brothers, Blane Cannon, Blake Cannon, Forrester "Trey" Goodrich and Esra Bridon, all of Houston, TX; his girlfriend, Ariel Seals, Atascocita, TX and a host of loving relatives and friends to cherish Malcolm's smile but most important the love he shared with us all.
