Obituary

Malachi Asher Brenner, age 31, died on August 7, 2017 after an extensive battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones until the very end, and passed peacefully. He was born in Moore, Oklahoma, but also called McLoud, OK., Erlanger, KY., Edmond, OK., and most recently, Houston, TX., his home. He was an avid sports player and loved participating in Basketball, Baseball, Bowling and Golfing. He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelors degree in Business Administration, and had a long career with Enterprise Rent A Car as a manager where he inspired everyone he met and challenged everyone to be their best, he loved the work he did and the "work family" he developed while there. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Shanna Brenner, and was deeply loved by her, their family, and all of their friends.
Malachi loved God, his family, friends, life, travel, and anything relating to sports, food, or the outdoors. He always made time to help others, and put everyone else's needs above his own despite the battles he was facing. He had a quick wit, a smile that would light up any room, and a truly electric personality. His faith and perseverance in spite of all obstacles was awe inspiring to all who met him; he never let the trials or disappointments in life change who he was, and remained a constant source of comfort and strength for all around him. He was kind, caring, loyal, and so full of life. A true hero in every sense of the word, he touched so many hearts and made the world a better place just for knowing him. He emulated his dear Grandpa Bill, and we can rest easy knowing that he has finally been reunited with him in Heaven. As he is now in Heaven with his Lord and savior, we can help keep his legacy alive by never giving up, and staying strong in our faith.
He is survived by his best friend and spouse, Shanna Brenner. His loving mother and step father Nancy & Rob Spivey, close siblings Morgan & Mitch Clingenpeel, Macy Brenner, and Cory Spivey. Devoted grandparents Joretta & Alex Hutton, Joyce Nowlin, Jerry Spivey, and John & Virginia Dobbins. Step mother and father Michele & William Brenner.  Favorite aunts and uncles Dale & Debbie Wilson, Valarie & Dylan Romo, David & Sheila Dobbins, Daniel & Leanna Dobbins, and Suzanne Dobbins. Two adorable nieces, Teagan Haley and Tenley Clingenpeel. He also leaves a small army of cousins, and other loved ones to forever cherish his memory.

Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 1 p.m. Friday, August 11, at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, TX 77065. A service celebrating Malachi's life and faith will follow at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Malachi has asked that any donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center in his name.
