Madi Barksdale is s urvived by her S ister McKenzie Barksdale, M other Lisa Barksdale, F ather Dr. Kevin Barksdale, Grandmother Virginia Barksdale, Grandmother Peggy Brandon Mocko and h er husband Richard Mocko. Madi is also survived by her Uncles Brian Barksdale; Dr. Alan Barksdale, Cousins Meredith Barksdale Hornsby; Amanda Barksdale Bryant, James Barksdale; Marianna Barksdale; Jonathan Barksdale and Rebecca Bryant. She is p receded in death by her grandfathers James C. Barksdale and J.A. Brandon and b y her uncle Barney Brandon. Madi a ctivities included; A ccomplished Equestrian: 2012 USEF Pony Finals 16th Over Fences 2012. Qualified USEF Pessoa Medal Finals 2015, Many championships and best in show rider awards from 2012 through 2015. She was a member of The National Honor Society, Debate Team, and participated on a m ission trip to Costa Rica. She was a d evoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, l oved her friends with all her heart, but above all she was was a d evoted faithful sister of Jesus Christ. Madi was a ccepted and enrolled in NYU for fall 2017. She had received Scholarships to Arizona State University (Barrett Honors College), University of Alabama and Baylor University.
She had a Heart for God and was Intelligent, creative and engaging.
