Mack Wayne Alexander passed away peacefully on January 25, 2022 at the age of 79 in Houston, Texas where he lived for over 48 years. He was a generous and loving son, husband, father, and friend.

Mack is preceded in death by his parents Mack and LaVera Alexander and his sister Wanda Pridgen. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce, his brother Jim (Susan) Alexander, his two children Keri and Phillip (Leisha) and his grandchildren Blake, Collin (Kimberlyn), Beau, and Grace as well as nieces and nephews.

Mack was born in Sweetwater, Texas and was raised in various small towns in West Texas. While living in Colorado City his family attended the First Baptist Church, where Mack was saved during a summer revival at the age of 11.  Mack spent his high school summers in the oil field as a roustabout, graduated from Big Spring High School and then attended Hardin Simmons University on a football scholarship. Mack met his bride to be the summer of 1963, they attended college together his senior year and then married in 1964 one week after he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. Mack pursued his career working for Petty Geophysical Company in New Mexico and after several relocations he moved his family to Midland, Texas where he was employed with Globe Universal Sciences. Mack ended his career as a geophysicist having worked for Shell Oil Company for 29 years. Mack served in his church as an usher, youth volunteer and Sunday School teacher for kindergarten children (all the little girls loved him and he loved all of them as well as the boys). He also served in his community on the Board of Directors for the municipal water district for 42 years.

Mack strived to do many things during his life, but the most important decision he made was to love Jesus with all his heart, all his soul and all his mind and to teach others to do the same. His love and trust in God enable him to love his family and faithfully provided for them at any cost.

Family Visitation will be on January 31 ^st from 5-7 pm and the funeral service will be held on February 1 ^st at 2 pm. Both events will be held at Klein Funeral Home - Cypress, 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston, TX 77065.  Committal will take place at Klein Memorial Park Cypress immediately follow the funeral service, 14711 Cypress North Houston Rd, Cypress, TX 77429.
