Lynne Marie Boehm passed away on October 5th, 2025, in Cypress, Texas at the age of 71 after a battle with lung cancer. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Lynne dedicated her life to her family and serving her community.

Lynne was born on August, 26, 1954 in Fort Benning, Georgia to parents Gerald "Jerry" Myers and Ellen Marie "Elrie" Myers. The oldest of six children, she was known for her lively, social spirit and strong will. Her siblings often referred to her as "Mother Two". The family moved frequently following Jerry's work. She graduated from Wayzata High School in Wayzata, Minnesota.

In the mid 70s, Lynne moved to Lodi, Wisconsin where she waitressed at the Sunset Restaurant. There, she struck up a friendship with Beverly Boehm, who soon introduced her to her son, Rick, recently home from the Army. Soon, Rick and Lynne began dating. Lynne then moved to Stevens Point and began attending school at the University of Wisconsin, where she studied Political Science.

Lynne and Rick were married in 1980, and over the next 45 years they built a boisterous and joyful home together. In 1987, they moved to Houston and became proud Texans. With four children, their spouses, five grandchildren, and many "honorary" family members, their home was a constant stream of celebrations, food, and laughter.

Lynne was a consummate volunteer. As the Activities Chairman of the Ravensway Subdivision she created neighborhood community traditions for more than three decades, including an Easter egg hunt, craft show, Halloween party, "dive in" movie night, holiday bingo, Fourth of July celebration, and many others. Her events created memories for thousands of families and impacted generations, inspiring others to volunteer and build communities of their own.

Lynne shunned the spotlight and never liked to sit still. She could often be found behind a kitchen counter, moving tables and chairs, or mixing a large Igloo cooler of lemonade. She was caring, smart, witty, stubborn, optimistic, and helpful. She loved special traditions, puzzles, dinners with fine china, pranks, history, and rooms overflowing with people. She put the wants and needs of others above her own, found beauty in everything, and was most happy when surrounded by family and serving others.

Lynne worked as a paraprofessional at Millsap Elementary, where all of her children went to school, and as Operations Manager for the Ravensway HOA. An active parishioner at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, she served on the core committee for the annual church festival for more than 20 years. Lynne also served as the President of the Ravensway Swim Team, and led food drives for Cypress Assistance Ministries. She received multiple rewards for community involvement including the Cypress Creek United Civic Association's community builder award and her activities were featured on KHOU 11 News and in the 1960 Sun newspaper.

In retirement, Lynne and Rick enjoyed traveling, embarking on trips to Greece, Italy,  Ireland, France, and Germany. She also made frequent visits to see family in Florida. Lynne was a talented baker and custom soapmaker.

Lynne believed community involvement was a civic duty, a responsibility that is not only good for others but also feels good for yourself. Her life demonstrates the impact one can have by giving to the people and places around you. She will be deeply missed.

Lynne is survived by her husband, Richard "Rick" Boehm; her children, Devann (Jake) Blake, Justin (Stephanie) Boehm, Trevor (Candice) Boehm, and Mina Boehm; her grandchildren, Kylie Blake, Colin and Reid Boehm, Penn and Margot Boehm; her mother Elrie Myers; her brothers Paul Myers, Brian Myers, and Neil (Lawrie) Myers; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Lynne is preceded in death by her father, Gerald "Jerry" Myers; her brother, Mark Myers; her sister, Cara Brown; and nephew Ryan Myers.

A funeral Mass to honor Lynne's life will be held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church at 1:00PM on October 23rd, followed by a committal at 2:30PM at Klein Memorial Park - Cy-Fair, and a Celebration of Life at the Ravensway Clubhouse at 3:30 PM.
