Obituary

Lynn Patrick Stewart was born on November 22, 1954, at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe, Louisiana, to Bill and Dorothy Stewart. He grew up in the same town, where he enjoyed excellent fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities that the area is known for. He often spoke of feeding chickens with his grandpa, who lived a short bike ride away. He was blessed with a loving family environment where mischief and mayhem were not permitted but were all too commonplace. A favorite memory of Lynn's was fishing with his father and brother on the Louisiana bayou… and when the Good Lord provided a fish, loudly proclaiming "MEAT ON THE TABLE!"

As a young man, Lynn took an interest in furniture making, producing a collection of handmade, all-wood furniture. As a woodworker, Lynn was a traditional hand-tool purist, adhering to the principle that good things take time.

Lynn was an outdoorsman and competitive shooter, landing him in a job at a local gun shop, where he met the love of his life, Rejeana. Lynn and Rejeana settled in Magnolia, Texas, and raised 2 children, Will and Eleanor.

Lynn was a motivated businessman, generally working 7 days a week. He instilled the values of hard work and discipline in his children, always viewed through the lens of his faith and the guiding principle that more should be given than received.

Lynn recently became a grandfather to 4 beautiful girls and treated them to all the loving (and spoiling) activities that can be expected of an enamored "Pappy."

Lynn is preceded in death by his wife, Rejeana; his father, William Patrick Stewart; his mother, Dorothy Stewart; and his granddaughter, Everleigh Fickling. He is survived by his son, Will Stewart (wife, Taylor); his daughter, Eleanor Fickling (husband, Dean); his grandchildren, Jeanavie, Augustine, Marigold, and Florence; his brother, David Stewart; his sister, Carol Stewart; and many more dear friends and family.
