Lynn Ross Lovett (July 15, 1931- May 5, 2019)
Lynn Ross Lovett was born July 15, 1931 in Apple Springs, and moved to Tomball with his family in 1942.  Lynn attended high school at Tomball High School and graduated in 1950.  During high school he was a part of the "Four Horsemen" of the Tomball Cougar football team with Homer Moore, Millard Ford, and Carl Maglitto.  The Four Horsemen helped drive the team that won 44 games, lost only 4, and had one tie.  The 1949-50 season for the Tomball Cougars culminated in a 21-0 victory over Groveton High School, resulting in a Regional Championship for the Cougars.  At the time this was the highest level the team could achieve.  After high school, Lynn served four years in the Air Force.  He then married Reba Edd Harrell in July of 1955. They spent over 63 beautiful years together.  Lynn attended Lamar College, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1957.  After college, Lynn worked for the Corps of Engineers, Columbia Transmission Company and Pipeline Technologist before owning his own Civil Engineering and Surveying Company from 1970-1984.  He is survived by his wife (Reba), three sons (Michael Ross, Alan Wayne, and Bruce Neil) as well as three granddaughters and six great grandchildren.  Lynn Ross is preceeded by his parents (Earl and Jessie Lovett) and three siblings CW (Bo) Lovett, Earlene Gage, and Billie Joe Lovett.
