Vivian Lynn Curry, known as Lynn, was born September 13th, 1950. Relieved from her pain and suffering on December 17th, 2023, and called to her Heavenly home by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Lynn was born in Houston Texas to Thurman and Inez Lowery of Houston. She was always very proud of her family history.

In 1975 she married Ronald Curry. Together they celebrated a marriage of 48 years.

The good Lord blessed them with two children. Ronnie was born in 1977 followed by Kelly in 1980. They were the joy of her life.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents Thurman and Inez Lowry of Houston. She is survived by her husband, Ronald and children, Ronnie Curry (Courtney) of Katy and Kelly Martinez (Miguel) of Spring.

Grandchildren Triston Smith, Peyton Byrns, Braelyn Martinez and Nathan Martinez all of Spring, Texas.

Her sister, Barbara Whitehorn (Arnold) of Cypress, Texas, and brother, Robert Lowery (Cindy) of Montgomery, Texas also mourn her departure.

An alumni of Jefferson Davis high School in Houston she soon received her cosmetology license and practiced that profession for a short time. She also worked at the Bank of the Southwest in Houston for a short period of time.

When the Lord blessed her with her children, she became a full-time stay-at-home mom raising her two children. After the kids were grown, she pursued a career in retail grocery. She loved working for 10 years at Kroger and then 21 years for HEB. She made many lifelong friends there.

Lynn was definitely a friendly and loving people person. Lynn was gifted with her ability to light up any room that she entered and make every person in the room feel like they were very special. Customers would stand in excessively long lines just to be able to go through her checkout station and visit with her.

She was forced to retire in 2014 when this terrible disease, cancer, entered her life the year before. But, with the Lord's help she was able to fight and hold it off for another 10 years. During this time, she and her family were able to build even stronger and more loving bonds.

No words can ever describe how she will be missed. But we will be reunited in Heaven.
