?Lucy Villarreal Vasquez was born November 6, 1928 to Guadalupe and Maria Villarreal in Elgin, TX, the eldest of 12 children.

She married Joseph R. Vasquez on January 31, 1954. They had seven children, Regina, Joey, Steve, Danny, Lillian, Jonathan, and Gabriel. She worked as a hairdresser for over 30 years. She spent much of her time nurturing her grandchildren and was very proud of her title of Glamour Girl Grandmother of the Year awarded by the Havard Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joe and her son Joey. She is survived by daughter Regina (Raquel, Robert), son Steve and wife Christina (Steve Jr., Joseph, Amanda), son Danny and wife Teresa (Kimberly, Megan, Danny Jr.), daughter Lillian and husband Darryl (David, Daniel), son Jonathan and wife Kati (Kayli, Nathan), and son Gabriel and wife Antoinette (Gabriel, Marian, Jared, Yoselin, Isabella, Anthony). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Surviving siblings are Sydney, Pauline (Perez), Zaragoza (Gus), Phillip, Juliana (Alcocer), and Guadalupe Jr. Villarreal.

She was an active member of the Catholic church, and enjoyed gardening, dancing and music, and visiting family and friends. She was a lover of animals and leaves behind her dog Kaylee. She will be missed by a multitude of surviving friends and family.
