Lucien "Chuck" Charles Burks was born to Lucien Burks and Joan Jilg on June 24, 1953 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on October 18, 2022 at his home in Magnolia, Texas. Chuck enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in December of 1970 and was honorably discharged in February of 1978. During his service, he received a Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol Sharpshooter Badge, Meritorious Mast, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Certificate of Commendation and Good Conduct Medal.

Chuck began his career in construction after his service in the military and was proudly employed at Postel Erection Group. He took pride in his many contributions to the greater Houston Area.

Chuck was a believer, proud father, Marine, craftsman, chef and dog dad. He was well known for his salsa recipe and his outstanding cooking. In his spare time, he enjoyed tending to his lawn, tinkering around the house, watching Fox News, cuddling his dogs and cooking.

Chuck will be dearly missed by his loved ones, but he rests in the most high place with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
