The Sun is Setting

The sun is setting, getting low In the sky

All will be dark, so do not cry

All light will be gone, no rays to be had

There is no reason to be so sad

The sun will rise in Heaven for all to see

Where there is peace, love & life ever to be

The streets to be paved in gold

No sadness or sorrows I am told

I will reunite with my son once more

On that beautiful heavenly shore

Again meet my friends that have gone before me

That is my destiny to be.

The sun is setting, my time has arrived

I have lived a good life so I have strived

I will meet my Lord & Savior at the pearly gates

Where life will be different, with no hates

The sun is setting, with no more strife

Life had been great,  for I have had a good life

Have worked hard, tried to be a good spouse

Did my best to keep a good house

One beautiful daughter, one great son

Life's lottery, I have won

The dark has come and I am no more

For I have arrived on that beautiful shore

The sun has set, and I am no more

I am standing on that beautiful shore

I rode that star beam to the sky

Wanted to tell everyone a farewell goodbye

While I am gone, do not despair

You will know I have arrived there

The sun has set, time in no more

For I have landed on that beautiful shore.
