LOUISE GATES LOWERY passed away on November 28, 2017 in Houston, TX at age 89. Born in Whatley, Alabama, September 24, 1928. Married "the love of her life" C.F. "Rip" Lowery in 1947 and moved to Houston, Texas in 1951. Retired from Exxon after over 30 years of service and moved with Rip to magnolia, Texas in 1983. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Rip Lowery and her two brothers, "HP" Gates, Jr. and Thomas Gates. She is survived by her three children: daughters Patsy L. Steiner and Pam Lowery; son C.F. "Chuck" Lowery, Jr. and wife Cheri; grandchildren: Cameron Steiner, Patrick Steiner and Pamela Steiner; Ashli Aaron and her husband Matt, Caton Lowery and Cody Lowery; great grandchildren: Brody Evans-Lowery and Colt Aaron. Survived also by her sisters in Alabama: lola Reid, Betty Bradford, Johnie Dunagan, Rubeye Andrews and Evelyn Green. Member of First Baptist Church of Tomball. Visitation – Klein Funeral Home, Thursday, Dec. 7th at 1:00pm. Funeral Services will follow Visitation at 2pm at Klein Funeral Home. Interment – Houston National Veterans Cemetery on Friday, Dec. 8th at 9am.
