Louise Vining Breed, 95, gently passed on to her eternal reward in Heaven on July 7, 2021, in Houston, Texas, her home for the past three years. A loving mother, wife and friend to many, Louise was married to John T. Breed, who predeceased her in 1985. Most of her life was lived in the Birmingham, Alabama area, where she and John T. raised a family of four sons, Michael L. Breed (deceased); Roger A. Breed, John S. Breed and Brandon D. Breed (deceased). A member of Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church in Rocky Ridge, Alabama, Louise was active in the Church's United Methodist Women CIRCLE group, focusing on Bible study, spiritual growth and missions. She was employed by the Jefferson County Board of Education, working at Rocky Ridge Elementary School for many years in childhood nutrition.

Louise was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Vining of McCalla, Alabama. She married John T. following his service in the Navy during WW II. Louise and John T. traveled the world together ultimately visiting venues such as Cuba, Japan, Ireland, Portugal, Mexico and Venezuela – as part of a sales contingent from John T.'s employer. While she loved seeing other parts of the world, her heart was always centered in her family's home in Rocky Ridge – surrounded by her beautiful gardens and loving neighbors who lived "on the Circle."

In her final years she continued to be patient, kind, courageous and loving to the end. That kindness was reflected back on her – by the staff at the memory care facilities where she lived in Alabama and Texas. During those years, her sons, John and his wife Melanie and Roger and his wife Marilyn, were honored to share a more intimate part of her life – building many new memories along the way. Even through the pandemic, Louise never lost her faith, hope and sense of humor.

Louise is survived by John and Melanie Breed, and their sons Zach and Aaron, of Spring, Texas; Roger and Marilyn Breed, of Mechanicsburg, PA, and their daughter, Lauren Berrios (and husband Ty); and Michael Breed's son, Kenneth (and wife Ashley) and daughter, Breca Breed. She was blessed with five great grandchildren Logan (deceased), Eli, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Elijah, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. Louise loved her family deeply – and will be missed greatly.

The family would like to thank the many friends and extended family members who were so supportive of Louise in recent years. Of these, Pat Pierce and Shirley Childs of Birmingham and Raunda Callahan of MaCalla, Alabama, could not have been more supportive and loving. Likewise, her doctors and caregivers at Brookdale Nursing Care, The Heights of Tomball, Pathways and Villa Toscana of Cypress Woods were loving and professional partners in Louise's care – adopting her as both a friend and resident.

The family plans to schedule a memorial and celebration of Louise's life to be held at a time to be determined later before returning her cremains alongside John T. and other family members in Green Pond Cemetery in Alabama.
