Obituary

Louis "Lou" Philip Wilson, 50, passed away suddenly on July 6, 2016, at 8:50 p.m., with his longtime friend, Joe Craft, by his side in Bellville, Texas.

Lou was born on October 3, 1965, in Port Jefferson, New York, to Edward Wilson and Irene Wilson Garcia. He was preceded in death by his father who gave him his love of hunting and fishing.  He and his mother spent many hours talking on the phone solving all the problems of the world.  They shared a love of history and long conversations over the many television shows they shared an interest in.  They had an unconditional love for each other.

He spent every available moment in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  His hunting and fishing stories were of grand proportion but were always interesting to listen to.  He, his cousins, and best friends Danny and Kevin spent their whole lives out looking for that trophy buck and fishing every body of water for the catch of a life time.  Lou enjoyed sharing his expertise hunting and fishing skills with his nephews Jacob and Nicholas.  He shared a birthday with his first niece Stephanie and loved making Karissa and Natalie laugh.  Lou had just recently reconnected with his son Drew and had looked forward to spending time and sharing his passion of the outdoors with him also.  Drew was blessed with the gift of getting to know his father and although it was only a short time, he was left knowing that his father loved him.

Lou is survived by his brother Edward Wilson and his sister in law Lisa; sister, Lisa-Marie Ludwig and brother in law Harry; His father's sisters, Sally Kelly; Margaret Sumway and Uncle Eddie; Joan Wilson and his beloved Aunt Mary Martines and Uncle Danny; and his mother's sisters, Barbara Pepe; Lou Ann Padilla and Uncle John; Florence Terrien and Uncle Dan; Denise Moscater and Uncle Ralph and Ellen Garcia and Uncle John, the mother of his son Jackie and 30 cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sarah Wilson; grandparents, Louis P. and Helen Steiner; his godfather, Uncle John Wilson; godmother, Aunt Patricia Falliace; and stepfather Sergio Garcia.
