Louis K. Lee, of Houston, TX, formally of Calumet City, IL died on Saturday, May 28, 2016. He was born on November 7, 1932 in Chicago, IL. He attended Chicago Vocational High School, and then joined the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War. In 1954 he married Genevieve and together they had 4 children. Louis was known in the south pacific as "Lefty Lou" while pitching for the Navy baseball team. He was offered to pitch for the San Diego Padres. After serving in the Navy, Louis worked as a welder at the Welding Shop in Roseland. Years later, he became a union electrician, then became a foreman at the River Oaks Mall. Louis spent years coaching Little League Baseball influencing children from his time spent pitching in the Navy. In 1970, Louis opened his own business known as L.L. Electric Co. After 35yrs of business he retired and became Electrical Inspector for Calumet City. Louis worked for the city for over 10 years before retiring to Texas. He served as a member of the Knights of Columbus and Lions Club. A unique soul, Louis was a perfectionist, and had many funny phrases. He enjoyed playing pinochle, dancing with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Louis is survived by his brother Leonard, four sons, Louis (Lynda), Scott, Donald (Lori) and Kenneth (Janice), 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve in 2009, 1 brother, Ronnie Lee, 1 sister, Rita Lee. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 1 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball. A funeral Mass of Resurrection will be 10:30 AM Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. The interment will follow at Klein Memorial Park on 249 in Pinehurst, TX.
