Louis John Blenderman, 80, of Spring, Texas, sadly left us on August 6, 2024 surrounded by family.

Louis was born in Port Arthur, Texas on February 14, 1944 to Louis Morrall Blenderman and Alice (Nagle) Blenderman.  Louis was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Texas in 1962.  He served in the Marine Reserves and attended Lamar University.  He met his wife Norma through a mutual friend in 1963.  The two were married on September 10, 1965 and would be celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary next month.

Louis was an entrepreneur in the truck fleet service industry that moved his family around Texas before settling in Spring, Texas.  Louis and Norma had 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild (with another due to arrive in October).

He enjoyed sharing his time with family and friends.  His hobbies included watercolor painting, gambling, watching movies, and cooking for his family.  But his favorite pastime was spending time with all his grandkids. Louis never met a stranger.  He loved to talk to people and had the ability to strike up a conversation and befriend just about anyone he met almost anywhere.  He was an artful storyteller and had many stories to tell about his life's adventures.

Louis and Norma took many wonderful trips together and with their family.  Some of his favorite trips were taking his family to Crystal Beach crabbing, hunting with Shane in Palo Duro Canyon, cruising to Alaska, and visiting Hawaii, Ruidoso, and Las Vegas.  In the past two years, he rediscovered his love of painting and enjoyed creating watercolor masterpieces with new friends at the Art Ministry at Cypress Creek Christian Church.

Louis is survived by his loving wife, Norma Blenderman; his son, Shane Blenderman and his wife Kari; his daughter, Tara O'Donnell and her husband David and his daughter, Kristen deGraffenried and her husband, Kelly; grandchildren Jenica and Jillian Blenderman, Jana Walton, Matthew and Michael O'Donnell, Peyton and Jake deGraffenried, Lennon and Lorelai Lemke; great-grandchild Kasen Segovis;  his siblings, Richard and Albert Blenderman, and Margaret Anarestani.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Louis's honor to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or Missionaries of Charity.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Louis's life at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas on Monday August 12, 2024.  Visitation will be at 9:00 am with service to follow at 10:00 am.  Following the service, the family will be attending the burial at Klein Memorial Park.
