Loretta Morgan Taravella was born in New York City in 1933. Her Parents Florence and William Morgan settled in South Ozone Park, Queens. Loretta attended Bishop McDonnell High School in Brooklyn, NY and graduated in 1951.
After High School, in 1954, Loretta married Victor Taravella from Corona, Queens. Early in their marriage, they settled in Uniondale, NY where they were devoted Parishioners of St. Martha's Roman Catholic Church and very active in their Catholic Community and their faith.
Loretta and Vic raised four children, Laura; Poughkeepsie NY, Anne-Marie (Jamal); Spring TX, Lou (Maria); Scottsdale AZ, and Jim (Mary); Suwanee, GA. She has 7 Grandchildren, Meghan Keyes (Reese), Christopher (Heather), Lillia (Urs), Kelsey (Justin), Alexandra (Matthew), James and Julia along with 5 Great Grandchildren; Mya, Reese, Audrina, Hazel, and Aria. Loretta worked until retirement in the Guidance office of Lynbrook High School (NY).
Loretta and Vic moved to Spring Texas from Uniondale, NY in 1997. They were active Parishioners of St. Edward's Catholic Community in Spring, TX. They were members of Panorama Country Club in Conroe, TX. The past two years Loretta lived with many friends at Wood Glen Court Senior Community in Spring, TX.
Loretta had an unforgettable, lively and powerful personality. She was compassionate and caring, helping anyone who needed love and support. She was energetic, athletic, witty, creative and considered herself the resident handyman.
Loretta is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Victor A. Taravella, her parents, William and Florence Morgan, her stepfather, Joseph Monahan, her sister, Florence Rollero, and her nephew Gary Morgan. In addition to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren she is survived by
by her brother Robert K. Morgan along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Internment: Friday 10/9: 10:00 am, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038
