Loretta Fink Powell passed peacefully on April 11, 2020 at home in Tomball, Texas after a long battle with leukemia. She was born July 19, 1954 in Richmond, Texas the third child of Alvin and Edna Peters Fink. She grew up on a cotton farm in the Tadpole Community in Fort Bend County. She graduated from Needville High School in 1972. After graduation she went to work at the Fort Bend County Court House in the tax office. She married her high school sweet heart Thomas Powell on June 24, 1975. After she and Thomas married she started working in the banking industry. They lived in Huntsville, Texas while Thomas attended Sam Houston State. When Thomas graduated, they moved to Tomball, Texas where she continued her banking career and he taught school.

She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tomball, Texas. Loretta was an excellent seamstress and a creative crafter. She always had a funny joke to tell. Her laughter was infectious; she was a true friend to all. When her children were in 4H she supported them in their chicken raising projects, bringing her knowledge gained about chickens from when she was growing up on the family farm.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws Buck and Mary Powell. She is survived by her husband Thomas and her children Michelle and Kurt Powell. Also surviving her is her beloved grandchild Dalton McCammon. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers and their spouses: Carol Brewer (Robert) and Charlotte Mills (Richard) of Damon, Texas and David (Carolyn) and Charles (Melissa) Fink of Needville, Texas. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and their spouses: Travis (Lisa) and Troy (Chelsea) Mills, Scott (Emily) and Elizabeth Brewer, Kayla and Nicole Fink, CJ (Amanda) and Dustin (Jessica) Fink, Dustin (Jessica) Temple, and Emalee Zwahr. She is also survived by her uncle Eugene Fink and her aunt Willie Mae Hawkins along with many beloved grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family extends special thanks to her longtime friends for their unwavering support during her illness.

There will be a graveside service at Sts Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Damon Texas. Her family appreciates your thoughts and prayers at this time. Because of the corona virus precautions, you need to follow the current restrictions.
