Loretta May Newton was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on June 26, 1939, and passed away in Montgomery, Texas on June 24, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James V. Newton, Sr., a son, David Joseph Abbott, a grandson, Joseph James Abbott, sisters, Fern and Vera, and her parents, Vester and Thelma Smith.

Loretta is survived by her daughter, Kathy Crystal Kehoss, and her sons, Leonard Lee Abbott, Joel Lynn Abbott, John Lyle Abbott, James Vernon Newton, Jr., ten grandchildren, and four great children.

A funeral service for Loretta will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. She will be laid to rest in a committal service on Klein Memorial Park on FM 249 immediately following the funeral.
