Lorenzo Davila Martinez went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2020.  He was 64 years old.

Mr. Martinez was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, friend, and business man.  He was born on August 9 in Mexico.  Mr. Martinez immigrated to the United States and settled into California where he married the love of his life of 46 years, Florencia.  Looking for better opportunities, they decided to take a leap of faith and moved to Houston, Texas where Mr. Martinez continued to work in the Gunite industry.  He was a successful business man founding Azteca Gunite Inc.  Lorenzo is well known throughout the swimming pool industry as a legend due to his hard work, hands-on workmanship, dedication, and passion which he lived for.  He was also known for his infectious smile, Cowboy hat, and humble charisma where ever he went.  Mr. Martinez also had a passion for horses and was a true cowboy at heart.  He was stern and stood true to his word.

Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by parents Pascual and Guadalupe Martinez and sister Maria Del Rosario.  Lorenzo is survived by his wife, Florencia Martinez, his brothers, Rosalio Martinez and Ignacio Martinez, his children; Osvaldo and Lizette Martinez, Flor and Paul Austin, Lorena and Joseph Shipman, and Lorenzo Martinez Jr and Cynthia Barrientos.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ozzie and Lexi Martinez, Christian and Jacob Austin, Gisele and Juleus Shipman, Alessia, Lorenzo III, and Victoria Martinez.
