Lora Lee (Delaney) Dickinson was reunited with her beloved late husband George B. Dickinson on March 12, 2020. She was born January 18, 1924 in Big Spring, TX to Daniel and Eva Delaney and grew up in El Paso, Texas where she graduated from El Paso High School and Texas Western College (now UTEP). She was swept off her feet by a young Army officer stationed at Fort Bliss and married the love of her life, George Dickinson, on September 16, 1944. During the early years of their marriage, Lora Lee worked as an elementary school teacher.
However, her real joy derived from her roles of wife, mother, grandmother and eventually great-grandmother. She and George were blessed with a son David Bernard (Cathy), and later two daughters, Lora Ann Ewalt (Jeff) and Amy Lee Ciborowski (Peter) She was happy to be involved with her children's activities and was always available to lend a supporting and guiding hand throughout their lives. She also patiently nursed George throughout his illnesses until his death in 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Margaret (Delaney) Lukowski. She is survived by her brother Jerry Delaney (Earlene), her three children, six grandchildren (Moira Dickinson, Jarad Dickinson, Jeff Ewalt, Erin Ewalt Agafanova, Lora Ciborowski Beckman and Mary Ciborowski Argüello) and six great-grandchildren.
