Lonnie Herbert Wilkins passed away on November 23, 2024 at the age of 78. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Lonnie P Wilkins and Betty Ann Byars Wilkins and his son Tyson Wayne Wilkins. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Janie Wilkins, son Lonnie Wilkins and wife Karen, and daughter Christina Osborne and husband Rex, granddaughter Amanda Carlton and her husband Mason, and grandsons Zachary Wilkins and his wife Emily, Joshua Wilkins, Colin Osborne, and Tyson Osborne and great grandchildren Reagan Carlton, Tatum Carlton and next generation coming soon Jasper Wilkins.

He is also survived by his sister, Karen Ouellette, and brothers Rick Wilkins, Mike Wilkins, and Paul Wilkins as well their families including numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Lonnie was born on July 17, 1946 in Houston, Texas.

He graduated from Spring High School in 1965 and was drafted by the Navy. After serving time in the Navy, Lonnie continued his telephone communications career at Southwestern Bell. Lonnie enjoyed showing off his hot rod at many of the car shows throughout the Houston and surrounding areas. He also enjoyed spending time with his family camping, boating, teaching his children how to water ski, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
