Obituary

Lola Doloris McKamey Gordon went home to be with the Lord and her family on July 16, 2016. Lola was born on December 27, 1910 in Cloverdale, Indiana and was residing currently at her home of over 40 years in Tomball, TX. Lola was the daughter of Joseph and Almeda McKamey and was the youngest of 14 children. Lola lived life to the fullest. Serving God, her family, and others was the foundation of her life. She loved cooking and many meals were shared around her table by friends and family. When she was still able, her time was spent playing golf, volunteering at a local nursing home, and playing board games. Lola loved to crochet, sew, and other forms of needlepoint. Lola was a strong, beautiful lady who blessed all who knew her. Her legacy will be long lasting. Lola was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Almeda McKamey, 13 sibings, her loving husbad Clyde William Gordon, daughter and son-in-law Janet and Ronald Schlenker, and son William Gordon. Lola is survived by grandchildren: Vance Schlenker(Leah), Joe Schlenker, Tim Schlenker, Ashley Gordon Kelton(Brent) and Brandon Gordon(Michelle). Great grandchildren: Camyl Schlenker, McCray & Casen Kelton, McKamey & Manning Gordon. Great great grandchildren: Christian & Bentley Inthisane. The family would like to thank the special people that loved Lola, fed her, transported her and cared dearly for her in the last years. You all are a living example of Christ and our family has been truly blessed by each of you. Pallbearers: Vance Schlenker, Joe Schlenker, Tim Schlenker, Brandon Gordon, Brent Kelton & McCray Kelton Honorary Pallbearers: Camyl Schlenker, Nate Schlenker, Casen Kelton, McKamey Gordon, Manning Gordon, Christian Inthisane, & Bentley Inthisane.

The family would like to thank the special people that loved Lola, fed her, transported her and cared dearly for her in the last years. Honorary Pallbearers: Camyl Schlenker, Nate Schlenker, Casen Kelton, McKamey Gordon, Manning Gordon, Christian Inthisane, & Bentley Inthisane.  The family will receive friends Thursday July 21, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home Tomball.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Klein Funeral Home Chapel Tomball with burial to follow at Klein Memorial Park 249.
