Lois Elaine (Getz) Walton was born September 23, 1944 at MacDill Airforce Base in Tampa, Florida.

Surrounded by family, she passed away in her home on February 12, 2025.

Lois was born to Wilmer and Alma Getz. As a member of a military family, Lois lived all over the western United states and Europe. She met her beloved husband Roy Walton on a subway in New York when she was 12 and he was 13.  Their families continued to cross paths as both families were in the military. They were married December 6, 1968, in Henderson, NV and later sealed in the Mesa Temple, May 13, 1972.

Lois graduated from high school in Henderson, NV and continued her education at Holy Cross Nursing School in Salt Lake City, Utah. She took pride in following in her mother's footsteps into nursing.  She valued her nursing career, but her biggest accomplishment was raising her 6 children. She had opportunities to continue practicing nursing throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  Her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the foundation of her life.  Lois was very passionate about family history, temple work and visited as many temples as possible.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Emily Beth Walton and her parents Wilmer & Alma Getz.  Lois is survived by her husband Roy, children Stacy (Al) Wilhelm, Jennifer (Jeff) Willden, Angela (Preston) Foster, Chris (Gina) Walton, Rachel (Mark) Early; with 24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and brother Dewey (Kathy) Getz and other extended family members and friends that will miss her dearly.

A funeral service will be held February 22nd at 10 am at 16833 T.C. Jester Blvd Spring, Texas.  Visitation from 9 am to 9:45 am.
