On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Lois Marie Liddle, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away at the age of 79.

Lois was born to Frederick and Margaret Chapman in Youngstown, Ohio on December 18, 1941, just eleven days after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and was raised in nearby Girard, Ohio.  Lois was preceded in death by her grandson Jake Liddle, father, mother, and four of her sisters.  She is survived by her sons Duke and Chad Liddle, sister Nancy Rice, daughter-in-law Kathy Liddle, grandchildren Luke and Kate Liddle, and Gabriel Valenzuela, foster children Cristopher and Khadijrah Benson, and Charles Adams, as well as many nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

Lois was the first in her family to graduate from college, graduating with a degree in education from Youngstown State while also working at Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio.  She went on to earn a master's in counseling from Sam Houston State and begin a career as a counselor and psychotherapist.  Lois moved to Livingston, Texas in 1994 and fell in love with the town.  She remained there, serving the communities of East Texas until her death.

Lois loved to travel and spend time with her family.  You could often find her on a Carnival cruise or camping and boating with her grandchildren.  Most of all, Lois loved to laugh, and her laughter was contagious.

Lois was a lifelong follower of Jesus and one of the early members of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Spring, Texas.  Her love for Jesus was constantly displayed by her service and selflessness, always looking out for others and their needs.
