Lloyd Ralph Hegwood of Cypress, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the age of 82 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Beverly Jean Hegwood (2011). He is survived by his daughter Lisa (Dan) Curry, sons Steven (Natalie) Hegwood and Timothy Hegwood, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
Lloyd was born on December 30, 1938 in Houston, Texas to Ernest and Audrey Hegwood. He and Beverly met in San Antonio, Texas on a blind date and were soon married on August 4, 1961. He worked as a machinist and machine shop foreman throughout his professional life. He greatly enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, with innumerable family vacations centered around outdoor activities. As an active and cherished member of his church and community, he was regularly among the first to offer help to friends and neighbors, quietly impacting countless lives throughout his 82 years.
