On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, Lisa Kay Magrill Wheelwright, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 56.
Lisa was born March 14, 1965 in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Northbrook High School in 1983 and was a member of the Bandoleras Drill Team and choir. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Lisa was a teacher in the Houston Independent School District for 19 years, she began her teaching career at Lee Elementary school and then at Raul C. Martinez Elementary School.
On December 10, 1993, Lisa married Rodney Wheelwright. Together they raised their beautiful daughter Maya Lynn. Lisa had a passion for family, friends, and all animals. She was an avid lover of music and loved attending concerts and music festivals.
Lisa is preceded in death by her parents Caroline and Richard Cade, and uncle Don Magrill.
She is survived by her husband Rodney, daughter Maya, father Kenneth and wife Paula Magrill, sister Sara and husband Mitchell Parzynski, aunt Charlotte and husband Bruce Jaster, uncle David and wife Lottie Magrill, aunt Cindy Magrill, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 10 AM July 31, 2021 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas 77379 (281-320-2674) In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lisa's name to Houston Pets Alive , an animal rescue that saves at risk animals.
