Obituary

Lisa Marie Stapp, longtime resident of Spring and Conroe, Texas, entered her heavenly rest on October 7, 2022. She is now walking and leaping and praising God.

She was born May 20, 1958, to Grover James and Emily (Luker) Stapp in Gallup, New Mexico. Her father died when she was three months old.

At an early age she was unable to be mobile. After many years of many different diagnoses and treatments, through the advancement of genetic science it was discovered that she had Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a progressive genetic disease. She never walked, her muscle degeneration gradually weakening her and hindering her physical movement. But this would not stop her from achieving many great things.

She was very curious, always learning. God placed her in a time when computers were developing, and the Internet became her way to connect with people around the world. She taught herself different languages, became a ham radio operator, received her Masters of Arts in Deaconess Studies, was an adjunct professor for Concordia University Nebraska, and had many other hobbies through the computer.

Her greatest love was God's Word. She was very active in her church: she loved hymns; she taught Sunday School; and she produced the calendars and newsletters for her church. Her love of God was very evident and He touched many lives through her.

She is survived by her loving mother, Emily Luker; sisters Lori Marsh and Leslie (Patrick) Johnston; nieces and nephews: Maggie (Hunter) Armstrong and daughter Eleanor, William (Jessica) Marsh, Melanie Johnston, Audrey Johnston, Erica Johnston and Aaron Johnston.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 15 th at Zion Lutheran Church in Tomball at 10 am with services at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers she would have any memorials given to:
