Linnis A. Gibbons Jr. was born in Houston, Texas on November 10, 1943 to Mary Ann Richie and Linnis Gibbons Sr.  He grew up in Tomball, Texas on a farm outside of town.  He started working at a young age and carried that work ethic throughout his entire life.  He was a self made man who valued hard work.  He served in the US Army during Vietnam and when he returned home he opened his construction company; starting with one back hoe.  He ran the company for over 40 years and had just recently "retired".  Retirement for Linnis didn't mean stopping.  Retirement meant projects; I don't believe he was ever without one.  When he wasn't working he enjoyed fishing at the lake, tending to his garden, and relaxing with close friends.  He passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2021.  He is survived by his Daughter Stephanie D. Gibbons and his Sisters Berti Allison and Barbara Rogers.

On a personal note, there are no words to describe how much my Father meant to me.  He was the strongest man I ever knew.  He taught me to work hard and fight for what I wanted and believed in.  He taught me that I could accomplish anything in life that I put my mind to.  Over the last 10 years or so we had grown very close.  We spoke almost daily.  He always took great pride in everything he did.  He had a very full and satisfying life.  He had lifelong friends that he and I consider to be family.  I Loved Him with all My Heart and will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball on July 8, 2021 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm
