Linda Kay Causey Nettles, 78, of Cypress Texas, passed away Thursday, February 10,2022 at a local
Hospital in Cypress Texas surrounded by her three daughters and her niece.
Linda was born June 30, 1943 in Haines City, Florida to the late William (Bill) Causey and Arcie Yeomans
Causey. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She resided in both
Cypress and Six Mile, Texas. Linda loved spending time with her family. Her greatest joys were taking
her children and grandchildren out to eat, shopping with them and seeing a surprise visitor (usually a
grandchild) walk through the door of her house. Linda always wore White Shoulders perfume and
enjoyed fishing, looking out at the water from her patio and cooking for her family, especially her
famous fresh creamed corn. Linda Loved the Lord and faithfully served Him. Southern gospel was her
favorite music. She was a prayer warrior for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She
considered herself a "Blessed Woman".
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Nettles of Cypress, Texas, Cheri Lynn Nettles (Don) Hazelwood
of Moravian Falls, North Carolina, Serena Hope Nettles (Bryan) Batchman of Cypress Texas; sisters,
Bonnie Maxine Irby of Lakeland, Florida, and Sharon Eilene Black, of Auburndale, Florida; brother, David
Lamar Causey of Haines City, Florida; grandchildren, Joshua Buck Hazelwood (Antje), Halee Kay
Hutchinson (Dylan), April Ann Nettles (in heaven), Jerry Dewayne Nettles II, Brent Andrew
Nettles(Sarah), Ashley Nichole Mata(Kiko), Caleb Roland Batchman, Andrew Seth Batchman(Natalya),
Joel Braydon Batchman, Micah Avery Batchman, Madison April Batchman; great-grandchildren, Cohen
Jordan Hazelwood, Eleanor (Ella) Sage Hazelwood, Brielle Diane Hazelwood, Soren John Hutchinson,
Henry Lafayette Nettles, Blake Ava Mata and coming in June Darcy Claire Batchman.
Family excited to greet Linda in heaven include; G.L. "Jerry" (husband), Jerry (son), April "Poopsie"
(granddaughter) among many other close relatives.
Mama loved her family and is greatly loved by each member. She lived a generous life always giving and
taking care of everyone in her reach. Mama lived 58 years as a faithful wife and over 30 years loving and
serving her Lord and Savior Jesus. She will forever and always be in the hearts of her children. She will
be deeply missed.
The family would like to inform the public that Linda died from Covid complications and several family
members were exposed to the virus. Please respect those who would like to practice social distancing.
