Linda Sue Leach, age 71 of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, of a heart attack. Linda was born September 22, 1952, in Miami Springs, Florida and was the 4th sibling of 10 children. Linda was a life-long member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church where she served on several ministries, including the Cursillo Ministry, Coffee with the Clergy, Daughters of the King, Co-Chairing the Alter Guild, and a faithful member of a reunion and prayer group. Linda retired in September of 2020, after working for 15-1/2 years at Maersk as a Senior Customer Experience Partner. During her time at Maersk, she was an active member of the Maersk Woodlands social/charity committee, aka "The Posse" where she was instrumental in planning and executing many social, charitable and team building events for her local colleagues. Linda spent every day living life to the fullest and serving God through her volunteer work as a kitchen manager at Hope Center Houston, and a Ground Angel at Houston Ground Angels where she volunteered as a driver taking people from the airport to MD Anderson Cancer Center. She also volunteered twice a year at a local Christian radio station, KSBJ, during their radio telethons. Linda absolutely loved and adored her family, her Church, her friends, volunteering and serving the Lord. Linda enjoyed playing cards, watching movies, being with family, and spoiling her nieces and nephews with her love. She also enjoyed uplifting everyone around her with her radiant smile. Never one to meet a stranger, Linda always had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, including her beloved mother, Shirley Maxine Rose Leach, and her father, Truman Leach. She is survived by her 9 siblings, including Cheryl Kunkel, Houston, TX; Stu (Cat) Leach, Maiden, NC; Diane (Chris) Hardy, Houston, TX: Steve (Connie) Leach, Franklin, KY; Cyndi Leach, Houston, TX; Duane Leach, Willis, TX; Kathy (Richard) Moore, Cleveland, TX; Wendy (Charlie) Jokel, Rock Springs, WY; Bill (Shelia) Leach; Whitehouse, TN; and her godson, Salvatore Jon. Linda is also survived by a huge extended family as well. As much as Linda loved her mom and siblings, and her extended family near and far, her greatest joy was in being a godmother and aunt, the best godmother and Aunt ever to three generations of nieces and nephews, including 11 nieces, 9 nephews, 12 great-nieces, 14 great-nephews and 2 great-great nieces, and 2 great-great nephews. Linda was the purest example of unconditional love and will be greatly missed by all.
