Linda Sue Lakin, of Houston, Texas
passed away peacefully with her sons at her side February 18, 2018. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill, her mother, Metzie Glockzin Feldman, father, Edmund Feldman, step-mother Mabel Feldman, dear sister, Patsy Feldman, and grand-daughter, Madileine Ruth Lakin. Linda is survived by her sons, Greg and Sheila Lakin and Tim and Misty Lakin; grandchildren, Graham Lakin, Morgan Lakin, Hannah Lakin, Lauren Lakin, Andrew Lakin, and Lanie Lakin; sister-in-law, Rhonda Smith and husband Roger, sister-in-law, Jane Lacedonia and husband Mark, Brother-in-law Terry Lakin and wife Anna, numerous loved cousins of the Feldman and Glockzin families and a host of caring friends and relatives. Linda acknowledged her salvation through her baptism on December 30, 1945, and confirmed her faith on March 30, 1958, and served her Lord and Savior faithfully all her days. Linda worked as a registered nurse at Park Plaza Radiation Oncology Department for 35+ years where she was cherished by her coworkers and respected as a living testimony of breast cancer survival to her patients and numerous friends, including her closest friends Barbara Vaglienti and Michael Brinkley whom she adored. Upon retirement, she enjoyed her family and extended family, cooking, handwork, and travel. The family would like to extend a special thanks to: Dr. Yin Lin PhD at Baylor and staff, Dr. Shervin Harandi and staff, and Dr. David Hodges and staff of North Cypress Medical Center, and the team at Hospice with Grace, all for extending their services and personal care to Linda for quality and dignity in her time of need. Visitation, 5-8pm Wednesday at Klein Funeral Home Cy Fair, Funeral services will be at St. John Lutheran Church 11 a.m., Cypress, Texas, Interment will be 3 p.m., in College Station City Cemetery.
