On the morning of November 3rd, 2022 Linda Gonzalez of Spring Texas was called home at the age of 74, after a lengthy and heroic battle with cancer.
Linda was born to Felipe and Maria Hinojosa in 1948. She received her Bachelor's of Music Education from Our Lady of the Lake College, and pursued her career in teaching music. She eventually found her home at St. Edward's Catholic School, where she taught music for 30 years.
In January of 1972, she married Rudy Gonzalez. Together they raised four boys: Rudy Anthony, Philip, Matthew and Paul.
Linda was a concert hall quality soprano, baker, piano teacher, curator of recipes, volunteer, PTA President, collector of angels, Den Mother, Catholic Daughter, and neighborhood mom. She was also a beloved friend, mentor, sister, aunt, cousin, mother, Godmother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife.
She was known for her good sense of humor, angelic voice, generosity, loyal friendship, motherly nature, and willingness to feed people.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Felipe and Maria Hinojosa, beloved granddaughter Evangelina, siblings: Gloria Carpenter, Stella Sanchez, Isabel Marrapodi, and Philip Hinojosa.
She is survived by her husband of over fifty years Rudy and their sons: Rudy Anthony, and wife Jenny, Philip, Matthew and wife Kim, and Paul and wife Lindsay. Grandchildren: Xavier, Katie, Roman, Lacey, William, and Theodore. Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Xavier Jordan, Luna, and Wesley. Siblings: Alice Perone, Hope Hoffer, Lillian Abild, Jose Hinojosa, Sylvia Falcon, Marina Cavazos, Diana Rangel, and Leticia (Tish) Hinojosa.
