Obituary

Linda Gaynelle Henslee, age 80, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018, in Houston, Texas.
Linda grew up in Fort Worth and graduated in 1955 from Arlington Heights High School. She met Lee Walter Henslee III while both were attending the University of Texas and they were married in 1956 in Austin. Linda graduated from UT with Phi Beta Kappa honors in 1959.
She and Lee lived in Austin, Fort Worth, Houston, Tyler, Venezuela and Malaysia, before settling in Spring, Texas, where they lived 34 years until Lee's passing in 2014.
Growing up, Linda was an all A student and an accomplished pianist.  She was a gifted mathematician and spent most of her life teaching math. In addition to her love of piano and math, she loved to teach, cook and travel.  Linda was a loving mother known for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and unwavering friendliness, and most enjoyed spending time with family.
Linda is preceded in death by her father, R. Lealand Hunter, mother, Gretchen Schermerhorn Hunter, and granddaughter Christina Henslee. She is survived by her three children: Gay, Lee, Robert and wife, Amy; her beloved sister, Vicki Baldwin of Austin; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 17, at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball following a 1 p.m. visitation.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
