Obituary

Linda Gail Dodge, 70, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2018. She was born and raised in Rockdale, Texas. Her natural parents were Cecil Owens and Evelyn Davenport Owens and step mother, Wilma Owens. She met her husband, Bill Dodge, in Austin, Texas while he was attending the University of Texas and were happily married in August, 1970 for almost 48 years.   During that time, Linda accompanied her husband and family relocating their residence from Houston, TX, to Pittsburgh, PA, back to Houston, TX, later to New Orleans, LA, then to Cedar Park TX, and finally retiring in Magnolia, TX.   She was a homemaker and raised a son, Richard Newell Dodge, and daughter, Robin Gail Dodge. Her favorite hobby was collecting decorative teapots and she adored cats. In addition to her role as loving wife and mother, she will be remembered for her kindness, quick wit and sense of humor. She also loved her two sisters, Cil Howell and Pat Owens, and enjoyed socializing with her cherished family members and many friends.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Dodge, son, Richard Newell Dodge, and daughter, Robin Gail Dodge-Jones, two grandsons, Harrison and Holden Jones, two sisters, brother and wife, Calvin Estepp and Jeanie, sister and husband, Betty Kostelka and Emil ,  daughter-in- law, Myra Dodge, and son-in-law, Chris Jones, two brother-in laws, Jim and Peter Dodge, two sister- in- laws, Julie and Ann Dodge along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved natural parents and step mother, her brother, Tony Owens, and grandparents.

A memorial service will he held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in the chapel of Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main, Tomball, TX. 77375. The service will be officiated by Terry Johnson, Chaplain, Tomball Regional Medical Center.
