Family & friends are invited to Linda Carthrae's Celebration of Life Service at Trinity Klein Lutheran Church located at 5201 Spring Cypress Road in Spring, Texas on Wednesday, July 14th at 10:00am. Following the service, all are invited to a light fellowship lunch at the church.

Linda went to her Heavenly Home on the afternoon of June 15th. She lived, she loved and she laughed for 75 full years. All in large doses!

Linda was a wife & mother first. However, she treasured her grandchildren & great grandchildren, embracing every moment with them. She especially loved her role being a Grandma. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. Oh, how she liked to laugh! And her laugh was contagious!

Linda was deeply loved by her surviving husband and best friend, Ralph Carthrae of Magnolia, Texas. Linda & Ralph were married on the beautiful morning of July 14th,1979 in The Woodlands, Texas. They raised their children and lived there for several years, until moving to Colorado. Ralph and Linda were true soulmates and were married for 42 years.

She was the oldest child to her parents, Imogene & Ray Moore. Linda had one brother, Ray Moore, Jr. – all of Grand Saline, Texas. Her father, Ray Moore predeceased her. Linda had a previous marriage to Robert Adamson that served two tours in Vietnam. Their three sons are Scott, Rick & Bob Adamson. Linda and Ralph have two daughters, Chera Carthrae Johnson & Chandra Carthrae and son, Chad Carthrae. Linda and Ralph are also adoptive parents to their granddaughter, Mindy Carthrae. Rick Adamson is Mindy's biological father.

Linda was the proud and adored Grandmother to Savannah Johnson (9), Jace Johnson (14), Morgan Carthrae (18), Elizabeth Adamson (26), Jacee Sinner (27) and Ashley Carthrae (33). She had two great grandchildren, Chloe Carthrae LeBlanc (9) and Charley Carthrae (3).

Linda was born in Grand Saline, Texas outside of Dallas. As an Air Force Brat, spent her first year of grade school at Ruislip Air Force Base outside of London, England. She spent some of her early teen years in Japan and high school in Virginia. She also lived in Maryland, the beautiful state of Colorado and various other states. But at heart, she loved Texas, so she spent most of her life in The Lone Star State.

Linda loved to love on people.  She was thoughtful and a caretaker to those she loved.  She had the gift of hospitality - celebrating holidays, serving food and hosting family & friends.  Linda was very thoughtful, always remembering to keep their favorites on hand when they came to visit and sending treat bags home with the grandkids upon their departure.

Ralph and Linda served in Youth Ministry throughout their marriage in their "church homes".  They moved from Texas to Colorado and back to their favorite place, the Lone Star State.  They first served in the Youth Ministry at the United Methodist Church in The Woodlands, then  The First Baptist Church of Evergreen, Colorado and then Trinity Klein Lutheran Church.

For the past several years, Linda was active with the Women's STARS Ministry at Trinity Klein Lutheran Church.  It suited her servant heart and was a very special place consisting of Christian women.  They were near and dear to her.  Linda certainly enjoyed a good movie, reading, doing just about anything with Ralph and spending time with family & friends.  She came to love her time being at home in Magnolia, the beach in Galveston, and their ranch in Franklin, Texas.

Linda will Always Be Loved….

Forever Missed…..

Never Forgotten.

Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse,

Psalm 118:24 –

"This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it."
