Linda Joel Barton, mother and doting grandmother, died unexpectedly on October 23, 2021 from complications of an infection.  She was 77 years old.  Linda was born in Rockville Center, NY on March 7, 1944 to Elinor (Tuite) and Joseph Dolezal.  Linda was raised on Long Island, NY where she met her husband Peter at a mutual friends wedding.  They were married for 54 years and had 4 children and 7 grandchildren. To know Linda is to know how much she loved her family.  She raised 4 kids relocating to several states around the country with Peter before finally settling in Houston in 1983.   Her inner strength was unmatched as she quietly dealt with juvenile diabetes and survived breast cancer. For over 20 years she spent summers in her beloved beach house in Middlesex Beach, Delaware where she entertained family and grandchildren.

She was a humble and caring mother and adoring grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Peter Allen Barton, her four children Cynthia Cooper + (Sean), Dustin Barton + (Diana Wesley), Jody Barton and Shanna Galovic.  She is also survived by her grandchildren: Aaron Cooper, Kendall Barton, Alex Cooper, Jordan

Barton, Elena Galovic, Dante Galovic and Declan Cooper; her siblings Judith Baer + (Bobby) and Joey Dolezal + (Carol). She is preceded in death by her best friend; Mary Jane (Mitzi) Shank.
