Linda Lee Lynch Ayers, age 72, of Montgomery, Texas passed away at home on February 2, 2025. Linda was born in Borger, Texas, on August 5, 1952, to her parents Robert W. (Bob) Lynch and JoAn M. Harris Lynch. She attended Borger schools, graduating from Borger High School in 1970. She attended Texas Tech University.

She married Russell Ayers on May 12, 1973, at the First Presbyterian Church in Borger.  They had three daughters, Allison, Jennifer, and Christine.

She worked in the education field her whole career, retiring from Klein ISD in 2015.

Linda was a creative and talented craftsperson, including needlework, tee shirt and logo design. She became a Cricut and Silhouette whiz in her retirement and had recently picked up crochet. She was also an expert baker who loved making goodies for friends and family. She had hundreds of friends and a full social calendar.

She loved living at the home she built with Russell for their retirement, which she lovingly named Dogwood Manor. She loved Thanksgiving and the Holidays and rivaled Martha Stewart in hosting abilities. She also loved flamingos and monkeys, the music of Barry Manilow and Luther Vandross, and her little dog Scooter. Her favorite flower was the peony and she loved digging in the dirt.

She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends, would do anything to help someone in need, and was courageous to stand up for what she believed in. She had a great sense of humor and had a knack for making people laugh.

Linda is survived by her husband, her children, her brother Robert, her mother-in-law, her sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at Klein Funeral Home on FM 1488 at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 15.  A reception will be held following the service at the High Meadow Estates clubhouse at 6915 Texas Trace in Montgomery from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
