It is with great sadness that the family of Lewis Markam Corson announces his passing, on Monday, April 16, 2018, at the age of 83 years. Born March 31, 1935 in Staten Island, New York, he was a long time member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church and was an active member of the vestry. Lew attended Tulane University and is a United States Marine. He was the proud owner of Corson Special Risks, Inc. and had a long history of being involved in the insurance industry. He and his wife, Carroll Ann, created life long memories by hosting poolside barbecues and Family Christmas gatherings. Lew was predeceased by his wife of fifty years, Carroll Ann, and by his brother David. Lew will be lovingly remembered by his five children; son Mark Corson and wife Chris, daughter Michelle Crawford and husband Stephen, daughter Lynn Churay and husband Dan, son Cliff Corson, daughter Stephanie Craig and husband Kelly; eleven grandchildren, Abigayle and Colin Corson; William, Charles, and Catherine Anne Crawford; Ryan, Addison, and John Churay; Cara Brown; and Meghan, Peyton and wife Michelle Craig; sister-in-law Lynn Luke and husband Jay; and sister-in-law Sheri Corson. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 27th at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston at 2:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to St. Martin's Episcopal Church, in care of the Garden of the Holy Cross Riverway, 717 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77058.
