Our dear mother and wife, Leverne Genell (Brautigam) Strack sadly but peacefully passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 9 days. Leverne was born in Waller, Texas on October 29, 1941 to the late Simon and Elsa "Elsie" Robeck Brautigam. After graduating Tomball High School, Leverne married Leon L. Strack on November 11, 1960 at Salem Lutheran Church and built their home on the east side of Tomball. Leverne was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church, as well as part of the generational founding members of Salem Lutheran Church and was also actively involved in many of the woman's ministry programs earlier in her life. In the past few years, she was still able to join in the festivities of the Salem Ladies Easter Luncheon each spring and enjoyed that very much.

Leverne is survived by her loving husband, Leon L. Strack, and children; daughter Paula Strack, daughter Sandy Strack-Chan and husband David Chan, son Duwayne Strack and wife Kimberly Strack along with one dearly loved granddaughter, Lily "her pumpkin" Chan.

Mom's last few years were thoroughly enjoyed with her loving caregiver and best friend, Tangela Alexander. The first few years Tan joined our family, her and mom would constantly be on the go and visit many places and restaurants which was mom's favorite thing to do, even as mom's health started to wane, Tan would still take mom on car rides to enjoy the scenery and music.

We can't express enough thankfulness to Tan for giving mom so much joy during her final years here on earth. This has brought so much joy and peace to our hearts knowing mom was always doing her favorite things and having fun.

We would also like to thank the various night caregivers who cared for her and dad during the past few months, especially Minnie Sanchez and Richie Stewart.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Salem Lutheran Women's Ministry ( https://www.salem4u.com/giving ) or Alzheimer's Association ( https://alz.org/ )

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, Texas, 77375.
