Leslie Gene Muguerza was born in Houston, Texas on October 10, 1959, and passed away in Tomball, Texas on April 22, 2021.
Leslie, Known as Les Muguerza Married to his childhood girlfriend Sandra Castro for 46 years at ages 13 and 15 in 1975.
He had a passion for his work, where he shared partnership in Custom Vans of Houston for over 40 years; he gave over 150% because he loved what he did. The automotive aftermarket industry was where he met and became good friends not with just clients but they became family.
He also enjoyed his hobbies/toys, riding motorcycles, racing at drag strip, caring and riding horses, his old cars and custom car he built with his brother John, and he loved his dogs.
Les also enjoyed working in the yard and on all 150 of his Palm trees; it was never enough palm trees. Every Palm Sunday he had to plant a new Palm tree and blessed it.
His family was important to him, he loved them dearly, and he would do what he could to make sure they were happy. He loved spoiling his grandchildren when he could, and he loved being silly with them, especially when it came to throwing them in the pool. The grandsons loved giving him a hard time, but he loved it.
Les was unstoppable, and never gave up. If he was told you can't do it, he would find a way. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
But as many of you that know him, you knew how mean, hard headed and stubborn he was, and us as family or friend knew that's what made him the person he was. He was loved by so many, but he never realized that. When he did for someone, it was because he loved and cared for you, and never expected anything in return.
These past 6 years Les suffered with so many illnesses, it was a rollercoaster, but he fought hard and would not let it stop him. He would try and do whatever they asked him to do. He kept going, it was just an obstacle he had to face, and he would take each day on. He knew that Jesus did the same, so he could too.
When diagnosed with his Parkinson's he still never gave up, but his body was tired. He took comfort knowing that God was in control. He wanted people to know, though he would not tell you. Every person that was placed in his life he loved them all, and would go to bat for them all.
Les passed with his wife by his side, please take comfort that he is now at peace.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Cyrene Muguerza sister Shari Muguerza.
Leslie is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Muguerza; his children, Jessica M. Muguerza Baldwin and husband Joseph Baldwin, Sr., and Junior Muguerza and wife Kelly Muguerza; grandchildren, Joseph Baldwin, Jr., Nicholas Baldwin, Hunter Baldwin, Jacob Muguerza, Lizabeth Grace Muguerza, Cammie Baldwin, and Hanna Mills; great-grandchildren, Jaycen Baldwin and Jaxen Baldwin; and brother, John Jones and wife Orean Jones
A visitation wi be held from 5-8pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Klein Funeral Home Tomball, to be immediately followed by committal in Klein Memorial Park 2920.
