Leota Georgene "Lee" Adams entered into the arms of her heavenly Father on August 14, 2021 at the age of 98. Lee was born February 26, 1923 at the home of her grandparents in San Antonio, Tx.
Lee was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be forever missed. She was well known for her advice, her wit and her generosity and love to all.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John W. Adams, a sister, Virginia Kinzel, and a brother, William Roundey. Also a very special aunt and uncle, Lillian and Buddy Oates.
Lee is survived by her children: Georgene Burnett (Freddy) of Galena Park, Tx; Jackie Mullinax (Ronnie) of Cypress, Tx; John "Buddy" Adams (Peggy) of Houston, Tx. By seven grandchildren; Jerri Torres (Danny) of LaPorte, Tx; Curt Burnett (Teresa) of Mont Belvieu, Tx; Carri Pedigo (Brian) of Deer Park, Tx; Jay Mullinax (Paula) of Cypress, Tx; Jana Petersen(Philip) of Houston, Tx; John "Jack" Adams (Cara) of Houston, Tx; and Ben Adams of New York, NY. Also, 15 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; sisters in law, Dolores Roundey of Seward, Ne; Mildred Seaton and Mary Ruth Adams of Temple, Tx; a special niece, Debra Crawford (Tommy) of New Boston, Tx; and cousin, Carol Thompson of Cypress, Tx; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Bea Ploch, Edna Brownlow, and Jay Pullin of Floresville, Tx; Sandy and Myron Boots and Carnell Miller of Houston, Tx.
John and Lee raised their family in Galena Park, Tx. Lee had a very special business career and was co-owner of Pot Luck Antiques in Conroe, Tx. She had a very sharp business sense and was always "wheelin' and dealin'." They retired to Floresville in 1985 where they were active in community and family life. Lee moved back to Houston to be near family in 2007.
There will be a visitation at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball on Friday, August 20 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A private family internment will be Saturday, August 21 at Fairview Cemetery in Floresville, Tx. A memorial service celebrating the life of Lee Adams will be Saturday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Floresville with Dr. Robert Newell officiating and guest music by Cynthia Clawson.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Our parents were the best. They taught us to always be honest and true to everyone.
