Lenn Carl Daniel was born in Colorado City, Texas, on December 20, 1940, to Elmo Earl and Ada Jackson Daniel. Glenn Earl Daniel was his identical twin brother. They lived in Coahoma, Texas, where his father owned a small dairy farm. He and his brother spent much of their time helping/working on the family farm, in and around Coahoma and Westbrook, Texas, while their father worked for Cosden Oil and farmed cotton.
Lenn attended school in Coahoma, Texas, where he graduated in 1959. He attended Howard College in Big Spring.
He met his wife, Pauline "Prissy" Daniel, while she was staying with her aunt over the summers. They were married June 15, 1963. Lenn and Prissy celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary with their church family one week before his death.
Lenn and Prissy moved to Jal, New Mexico, where he worked for El Paso Natural Gas. There they had a son, Jay Lenn Daniel, born June 24, 1965.
Shortly afterward they moved to Angleton, Texas, and Lenn went to work at Dow Chemical. This began a career as a millwright, a job that he excelled at and spent 30 plus years doing. Lenn was very skilled technically and mechanically. He was known for his work ethic and only had a handful of missed days of work during that 30 plus years. If Lenn was not on the job, he was very ill.
Lenn retired in 2003, and he and Prissy moved to Tomball, Texas.
Lenn enjoyed bird hunting, especially quail and dove. He was happiest being outdoors, working on his farm, and tooling around in the Ranger or on his tractor.
Lenn went to be with the Lord on Sunday June 26, 2016. Lenn passed away doing what he loved, driving through the pasture in his Ranger, with his wife and dogs.
Lenn is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pauline"Prissy" Martens Daniel of Tomball, Texas; his son, Jay Lenn Daniel and wife Sandra Arnold Daniel of Tomball, Texas; granddaughter, Angela Lenn Daniel of College Station, Texas; grandson, Taylor Shelton Daniel of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Glenn Earl Daniel and wife Joan Davis Daniel of Coahoma, Texas; nephew, Wacey Earl Daniel and wife Vicki Daniel and son Kyle Daniel of Big Spring, Texas; and a host of family and friends.
