Lee Joyce Williams Wall (Joy) wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2019 in Tomball, Texas.
Joy, as she was called by family and friends, was born November 15, 1931 in Gillsburg, MS. She was the daughter of Leopold and Jessie Addison Williams. Joy was raised by her stepmother, Norma Decoux Williams, after the loss of her mother at 7 years of age.
Joy was a member of First Baptist Church in Point Comfort where she was an active member for many years. She was also a well known and loved secretary for the City of Point Comfort for many years.
Joy survived a nearly fatal car crash in 1978 at the age of 47. She worked hard to heal after that tragic day and taught all of those who loved her the true meaning of enduring strength and a joy filled life in the face of daily challenges.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray Wall, her daughter Jan Wall Sterling, her son James Ray Wall, her grandson Derek Wall and Jeffrey Pate, siblings Jimmy Williams, Jackie Welch, and Pauline Lea.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Chambers and husband Harry, her son Rick Wall and wife Diana, her sister Mickey Lampton and husband Petey. Joy's legacy included grandchildren and great grandchildren-Blaine Wall (Brittany), Lynsey Wall Taylor (Travis), Chase Chambers, Carson Chambers, Cole Chambers, Jim Pate (Kerri), Tyler Pate, Colin Pate, Baylee Wall, Shelby Taylor, and Caleb James Taylor, born two days before Joy's passing.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Sunday March 17th at Klein Funeral Home located at 1400 W. Main St. in Tomball, Texas. The burial will be a graveside service at 12:00pm Monday March 18th at the Greenlawn Cemetery located at 1517 FM 1679 in Port Lavaca, Texas.
Pallbearers are Harry Chambers, Chase Chambers, Carson Chambers, Cole Chambers, Blaine Wall, Travis Taylor, and Jonathan Carter.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be sent to the First Baptist Church of Point Comfort, P.O. Box 477, Point Comfort, Texas 77978
