Obituary

Lawrence "Larry" William Prasek, 73, passed away peacefully at home on February 8th, 2019 after a long battle with dementia. He was an excellent salesman, a good man, a loving father and grandfather, a doting husband and a loyal friend.

Larry was born in Victoria, Texas on September 23rd, 1945 to Joe and Josie Prasek. He grew up in Agua Dulce, Texas, and met the love of his life, Paula Dressback, when they were teenagers. He graduated from Agua Dulce High School in 1962 and married Paula in 1966 at St. Frances Catholic Church in Agua Dulce. They remained married until her passing in 2017.

Larry worked for Wilson Supply while living in Agua Dulce and then moved to Corpus Christi with Paula to work for TRW Mission. They raised their two children, Dale and Connie, there until he was transferred to Houston in 1978. Through the years, he continued to excel in oilfield sales for Sandvik Mission, National Oilwell, Halco and National Oilwell Varco until 2014.

He loved working in the yard, peanut M&Ms, country music, chicken fried steak and cooking on his custom-built BBQ pit. He learned to play craps like a champ for annual Vegas trips and collected baseball cards, coins and fast-food toys. Most of all, though, he loved and doted on Paula.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Josie Prasek, two brothers, Sylvester and JoJo, and his wife, Paula. He is survived by his children Dale and Connie, two grandchildren Jordyn Callender and Caleb Callender, and his sister, Dolly Kelley (Woody).
