Obituary

Larry Barnett was born on March 2, 1928 in Ada, Oklahoma and died peacefully at home on November 3, 2016 in Spring, Texas.   He served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and was an officer in the U.S. Army. Larry earned his Master of Teaching from East Central State College in Ada, Oklahoma. He worked for Baroid and IMCO (a division of Halliburton) in various locations in the U.S. and Canada until his retirement in 1983.

He is survived by Barbara Barnett, his wife of 26 years; daughter Marisa Mansel and husband Chris; son Mark Barnett; stepson Russell Robinson and wife Robin, stepdaughter Barbara Kay Smith and husband Mike; stepdaughter Carolyn Pett and husband Barry; grandchildren Courtney and husband Gabriel, Daniel, Joshua, William, Jacob, Lisette, Nicholas, Dana, Heather, Kelsey, Logan, Chase, Lukas and Paige; great grandchildren Karsyn and Owen.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur W. and Ida Wormington Barnett; brothers Clarence Barnett, Curtis Barnett and Thurman Cates; sisters Lucille Erwin and Josephine White.

He was a proud Friend of Bill W. and helped numerous men and women in AA over the past 41 years.

Funeral services will be held at 10am Monday, November 7, 2016 at Klein Funeral Home Champion Forest, with a time of visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Klein Memorial Park on State Highway 249 in Pinehurst, Texas.
