Our dear sweet mother, LaVerne Lillian (Strack) Hill, 88, of Spring, Texas, was called to her heavenly home on October 2nd, 2024.  LaVerne was born July 24th, 1936, in Klein, Texas to the late Welton Leonard Strack and Lillian Anna Louise (Klein) Strack.  Including her parents, LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James Alford Hill.

LaVerne was baptized on August 23, 1936, and was confirmed on April 2, 1950 both at Trinity Lutheran Church.  She married James on November 11, 1955, in Spring, Texas at Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor Carl Bair.  LaVerne was a member of Trinity Klein Lutheran Church until the time of her death.  LaVerne loved making crafts and selling them at the Pumpkin Patch.  She enjoyed fishing and gardening, and being outside watching the birds, squirrels, rabbits and deer.  She also loved music and going to Main Street Crossing for concerts.  She will be remembered as a sweet, kind, gentle soul.

LaVerne is survived by her daughters, Glenda Smith, Sandra Anderson and husband Jon Anderson, her grandchildren Jason Smith and wife Jessica, James Smith and fiancé Alex, Lauren Wilson and Kevin Anderson; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith, Jason Smith, Jr., Seth Bradfield, Abigail Fielder, Aurora Smith, Rylee Smith, Ellyana Smith, Emerson Smith, Lillie Wilson and Emmalyn Wilson and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors Sunday, October 6th, 2024, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main Street Tomball, Texas 77375.  Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 7th, 2024, at 1 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5201 Spring Cypress Road, Spring, Texas 77379, with REV. Wendell Stavig officiating.  Interment to follow in Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Mike Klein, Ross Klein, David Frank, Daryl Frank, Terry Strack, and Ricky Hill; honorary pallbearer Whalen Hill.
