Laura Ann Howard Crowe passed away after a brief illness with her family at her side at Willowbrook Methodist Hospital on December 17, 2022. She was 57 years old. She was born in Marrero, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans.  She and her husband Robert Crowe were married for 30 years and had one child, Ashlyn Marie Crowe.

In her younger years she lived overseas with her parents who worked in the oil industry. The family lived in Nigeria for a time until they were forced to leave because of a civil war. They moved to London, England and lived there for two years before returning to the United States. Laura fondly remembered her home in London and often remarked upon it.

The family moved to Houston, Texas in 1974 where Laura graduated from Cypress Creek High School in 1983. After graduation she attended college at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, TX. She later transferred to Lone Star College in Houston, TX and graduated with an Associate Degree in Medical Office Administration.

She loved small animals and was actively engaged in a dog walking business in Houston, TX.

Laura was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Robert Crowe, her daughter Ashlyn Crowe, her parents John and Patricia Howard, her brother Richard Howard, her sister Patricia Hildenbrand, her mother-in law Sandra Crowe and in-laws Nancy Howard, Douglas Crowe and Karen Ruhe.

Laura will be buried at Veterans' National Cemetery in Houston, TX. A brief internment ceremony will be held for the immediate family on January 20, 2023. A memorial service for friends and extended family is tentatively planned at a later date.

In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions may be made in Laura's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The website for the hospital is: https://www.stjude.org .
